Al (tnhiker) > Here is the rennovated shelter at Mt. LeConte.  Quite an improvement in appearance vs. the older style, eh?
Al (tnhiker) > In my opinion, all shelters in the Smokies should have a "No Fires" policy.  The problem stems from lack of suitable firewood which results in people cutting-down things they should not (like signs, trees, parts of the shelters, etc.).
